Small piece on the theme "first moves". For a while I've been thinking about the challenge of trying to make a game that expresses an idea only through mechanics, especially given well-known (?) examples like Passage and Marriage are like... super patriarchal... I'm not sure if I succeeded here—it's devoid of text, but not exactly devoid of visual symbolism—but it was interesting to try some stuff out.

Some of the ideas here I ended up expanding on in Violent Delight, my entry in the 2025 IFComp, so I recommend taking a look at that too...
